Title: Simple Steps to Boost Your Confidence in Singing
Description: Have you ever found yourself alone, singing a song… maybe not in tune… lack of confidence…? Join this workshop to know what are some simple fundamentals steps you can take to help you to be able to sing just like your favorite singer! The workshop will mainly talk about Warmups, Breathing, and Point of Reference in singing.
Teacher’s Biography: Kingsley graduated from Middlesex University, London with BA (Hons) Music and has over 7 years of teaching experience teaching both kids and adults. Specializing in understanding students’ voice range and productivity, Kingsley is constantly working closely with his students in understanding students’ vocal capabilities. Driven with one passion in his teaching “You are your own voice and it is you to experiment the best outcome possible”. Oh! He speaks English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, and Cantonese so, there should be no language barriers in his class. Don’t be nervous because singing is meant to be FUN and CHEERFUL!
Learning objectives/goal: You will be able to have some basics that you can practice independently anytime and anywhere you are comfortable.
Suitable learner: Beginner with no basics in singing, Intermediate / Advanced students who are not sure about what can be done with their voice at a certain time.
Preferable 13 years old and above, if you are under 13, parent/guardian is allowed to join to further in helping younger kids.
Q: Can I join the workshop even without any music knowledge?
A: Yes, of course, it is perfect for you if you are new and wanting to know what you can do with your voice through singing.
Q: Any instrument(s) needed for the workshop?
A: Your voice is your instrument. Make sure you have a set of earphones during the workshop so that you can have a clear listening experience.
Q: How will the workshop be conducted?
A: You will need a zoom account, computer/mobile device, and a pair of earphones. Also a decent internet connection and a quiet area.
Q: In what language will the workshop be conducted?
A: English but don’t worry if your English is not strong, I will not be using bombastic words and in fact, English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, and Cantonese is okay. If you are not sure about anything during the workshop, I will be more than happy to translate it to you 😀
Q: Can I contact the instructor after the workshop for further questions?
A: Yes, definitely. There will be a Facebook Group to be set up, therefore in the future, you can always refer back to the recorded video for clarification and of course, I will be more than happy to assist you in your queries.
